i recieved these goodies from the folks at the Green Cat Mail Art Project, along with a wonderful treatise on Mail Art and the extension into "Poster Art", some of which i'll quote here:
"In the public spaces of the capitalistic world any free cultural expression could apparently disturb the cash-flow and is hence put under the ban of all sorts of laws and reglementations. ... To placard means to make a donnation of a piece of art to unknown receivers, an act of potlatch, which the big business and its governmental stooges jalously intend to exclude all others from."
and with that encouragement, i believe i'll go out and post the large 'stickers' around the 'hood and make some more of my own to post:
